Poor Jim (supermarket, bookstore, hospital)

On a Friday morning, Jim, Tom and Sam are talking about where they will go on Sunday.

Jim says: “I will go to the supermarket by bus on my own.”

Tom and Sam ask: “Why will you go there?”

Jim answers: “It’s a secret, how about you?”

Tom says: “I will go to the hospital by car to look after my grandma with my mum.”

Sam says: “I will go to the bookstore with my dad. And I want to buy a comic book.”

Tom says: “I also want to go with you.”

Sam says: “OK! You can go there after you leave the hospital.”

Two days later, it is Monday. Three boys are talking about what they did on Sunday. Tom and Sam are very happy, but Jim is sad.

Sam and Tom ask: “What’s wrong with you, Jim?”

Jim says: “I was beaten by my dad on Sunday, because I bought many toys and snacks on my own.”

“It’s really sad.” Sam and Tom say.
