Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is usually in January or February. It’s the most important festival in China. Every Chinese looks forward to it.
On New Year’s Eve , families gather together for a big meal. People also clean their houses before that day. In Guangzhou, people buy flowers in the flower fair before Chinese New Year
At Chinese New Year people wear new clothes and watch a lion dance. They decorate the houses with paper-cuts and flowers. They also hang out couplets and play firecrackers. Children are always very happy because they can get red packets with lucky money from their parents. In the evening, people often watch fireworks and eat dumplings on that day.
This is how Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year. We all enjoy ourselves at Chinese New Year.
