                                                        What did Grandpa Play?

     Tom likes playing computer games. One day, Tom was playing computer games and his grandpa was watching him quietly. When Tom turned around, he saw his grandpa and asked, “Were there any computers    when you were young?”

     “No. I flew kites and played hopscotch with my friends in the playground. I also made some paper planes. The one of the games I liked best was the marble. It was great fun.”said grandpa. “It’s a good game, but how did you play marbles?” asked Tom.

     “It was very easy. First we drew a large circle and put some marbles in it. The most important thing was that you should stand outside the straight line. Everyone had a shooter marble. Then we used shooter marble to flick other marbles out. We must keep the marbles which went out of the circle.”replied grandpa.

   “I like it.”shouted Tom. “Also, we sometimes lost because the shooter marble was stayed in the circle.”said grandpa. Tom asked curiously, “Did you usually win?” “No, sometimes I was lucky and sometimes unlucky.” “I support it’s fun!”yelled Tom. “Can we play now?” “Of course. Go ahead. I have some really special marbles we can play with.”
