My Happy Winter Holiday

Today my parents took my sister and me back to my mother’s hometown Zhanjiang. I couldn’t wait to see my grandparents and cousins. I waited and waited. At last I saw them.

My cousin and I decided to go to the shop to buy some food, drink, salt, brushes and so on. We were going to have a BBQ!

Then my father used the rocks to build a shape. We put fireworks inside it. When evening came, our barbecue started. My grandparents, uncle, aunt, and friends all came. We put food on sticks and put them over fire. When they were cooked, we put some mixed ingredients on them.   Wow! How delicious they were!

But it was not all. When we ate barbecue, we also watched fireworks. Red, blue, gold ...! How fantastic they were!

We talked and played happily. What a wonderful holiday it is!
